Cover designed to indemnify the beneficiary in the event of total and irrecoverable loss, either through injury or illness, which is usually determined after a 12 month waiting period, although possibly less depending on circumstances. HSR are able to provide coverage to specifically insure an individual for his or her profession on a 24 hours a day basis. This cover can be bought by an individual, team or even sponsor to protect against future earnings loss or guaranteed contract indemnity.
Temporary Partial or Total Disability
Designed to provide a temporary payment (daily, weekly, monthly, games/events missed) to the beneficiary during the time period during which the insured is unable to perform. This cover can be bought by an individual or a team, with the intent being to cover an individual’s lost wages or indemnify a team due to a contract requirement.
Permanent Partial Disability
Cover providing a payment schedule based on a continental benefits scale, as a result of loss of limbs, sight or other faculties due to an accident, with the scale and benefits based on the severity of the accident.
Medical Expenses
Cover designed to indemnify participants for medical expenses incurred due to injuries while playing, training or travelling at an insured event or activity. The benefit can be provided on either a primary or excess basis.
